Overview

Our Say Yes to Less weekend retreat is designed for people who are feeling a bit overwhelmed with all the demands that are being made on them and not sure how to change this. In today's busy society, we often feel we have to fulfil multiple roles: mother, husband, father, wife, dutiful son or daughter, friend, business colleague, care giver, organiser and we forget to pay attention to what we need ourselves.

During this weekend retreat, we'll discuss why we believe we have to say "Yes", even when it's not serving us, and explore what it means to be true to ourselves and live authentically. We'll learn techniques to make us more comfortable saying "No", and how to listen to what our body and intuition is telling us. By saying yes to less, we actually make more time for what is most important to our own wellbeing.

In between, we'll allow plenty of time for rest, reconnecting with nature and quiet contemplation. Take a walk among the olive groves and eucalyptus forests, join in one of our optional yoga sessions, go for a swim in the tranquil river lagoon, or just soak up some sun in Relaxscape's peaceful grounds. By the end of the weekend, we hope you'll leave us feeling more confident, more relaxed, and with a renewed sense of purpose and self-worth.

Your host will be Relaxscape's owner Belinda Raitt, who runs coaching business About Talent Ltd and is a Yoga Alliance Certified Hatha & Vinyasa yoga instructor.

All rooms have an en-suite toilet with shower or bath+shower.

If you already live in Central Portugal near Tomar and Ferreira do Zêzere and would just like to join us for the day's activities without staying the night, day passes are available at a cost of €150 for the weekend. This includes lunch, refreshments during the day and dinner, but does not include breakfast.

We try to be as eco conscious as possible at Relaxscape, respecting our environment, using natural materials where we can, re-using and recycling, renewable energy, and growing (and eating!) seasonal, organic produce on site. We kindly ask our guests to respect these principles and our home when they stay with us as they help to create a more sustainable world for us all. You can read more about Relaxscape and sustainability here.

We're looking forward to welcoming you at Relaxscape and to sharing with you the special calm and beauty of this wonderful area of Central Portugal.

Please note

We consciously incorporate plenty of free, self-reflection time into our retreats (even if relaxing to you means helping out with some gardening, or mending some old bikes!) as our aim at Relaxscape is to help you to discover the benefits of relaxation and finding your "ikigai." Our facilitators are all trained to offer you gentle guidance to enable you to improve your emotional and physical wellbeing.

We are welcoming you into our home in a small, tranquil village, so please be respectful of your surroundings, our village neighbours and your fellow retreat members during your stay.

Transfers can be arranged from Tomar train station, or from Ferreira do Zêzere bus station. (For an extra cost, we can arrange a transfer for you from Lisbon Portela Airport).

We will then send an invoice with a secure online payment link for you to pay the required deposit.
