Forage for ingredients and learn to cook vegetarian versions of Portuguese dishes using healthy and organic produce
Eating less meat and more plant-based food is becoming increasingly popular, as more people are realising the benefits to our health and for the planet. It's become the responsible choice for anyone who cares about sustainability. In fact the UN recently declared vegetarian and vegan food as one solution to help save the planet.
We'll start the day by foraging for ingredients, then during the workshop learn to cook vegetarian dishes Portuguese style, that are nutritionally balanced but still taste amazing, using organic fresh seasonal produce that is grown here at Relaxscape or on local farms. In the evening, we'll all sit down to eat together, what you've made during the day. Your workshop leader will be Fatima Pedro, a professionally trained chef with many years of experience cooking for retreats and creating vegetarian dishes that are in the style of traditional Portuguese cooking.
During this workshop we will show you that it is simple and easy to create recipes with a focus on nutrition that still taste great, giving your menus a healthy balance.
We will use organic seasonal produce that is grown here at Relaxscape or from local farms. Afterwards, we will sit down together to eat what we have prepared.
When you leave, we will give you all the recipes to take with you, along with information about the nutritional values of each dish. We have also teamed up with some local like-minded businesses to offer you samples and discount vouchers to take home and use on future purchases for you to enjoy.

If you choose to stay overnight for the weekend, you will have time to relax, reconnect with nature and enjoy some peaceful contemplation. Take a walk through the olive and eucalyptus trees, take a dip in the tranquil river lake that's within walking distance, or simply enjoy the sun and peaceful calm of the Relaxscape grounds.
To join in the workshop for the day, including the dinner - EUR 60.
To spend the weekend at Relaxscape, including the cookery workshop on Saturday, and a Vinyasa Flow yoga session or Shiatsu massage on the Sunday, and all meals - EUR 200.
Places are limited to a maximum of 10 people to allow everyone to make the most out of the learning experience.
